My background
My name is Billy Dunlap but you can call me The Old Foal. The Old Foal is the dream I was never quite able to shake, the one that kept me up at night after working jobs that didn't satisfy my purpose in life, the dream that would allow me to pursue my passions and put my talents on full display. I always knew I wanted to be a small business owner since growing up in my family meat market. The idea of serving my community and bringing happiness to my friends and neighbors is what motivates me. I believe I was put on this earth to serve and to help as many people as possible. My goal for The Old Foal is to take the burden of entertaining off the host and put it on my shoulders. The Old Foal is a mobile event space with endless possibilities. My experience
For 10 years you could find me behind the bar at Emmit's Irish Pub in Chicago, Il, working on my craft and learning the service industry. During that stretch I also worked as a Realtor serving the Chicago and Western suburbs, this is where I learned the importance of branding, customer service, and networking.
My vision
The Old Foal has been a dream 5 years in the making. The vision started as a cold brew coffee bike and morphed over time into a vintage horse trailer bar. I fell in love with the horse trailer aesthetic, I knew if I could convert the trailer into a bar I would find a way to be successful. Thank you to the many people who helped make this dream into a reality.
